Whilst I was emptying a pine storage box that my husband had made me, I found this, this was one of the very first things I had made when I learnt to crochet back in my younger school days, I think I might have been about 11 or 12, my Gran taught me to crochet and she gave me the thread to do this project with. It is a pattern from a crochet book that I had off my parents, my sister has the book now as she does crochet as well. This piece I gave to my mum and she always had it covering her dining room table. I am quite proud of the fact that this is now some thirty odd years old and it has still kept its shape and is still in one piece.

Hi Sue. Thanks so much for the visit and the comment. Your crotched piece is lovely. Do you crochet now? I would love to be able to sit and crochet for a day, bliss.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful piece of work, I went to a weekend crochet class once, I managed to make an egg cozy, I was so proud of it, however the teacher ripped it all apart because it was not made correctly! Havent tried again!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice job you did. It looks like a new piece.
